More Details About Accreditation Process

1. Customer service
This aspect places service to the customer (the passenger in your vehicle), as the most important aspect of the service that you provide as a DSP. Picking the customer up on time, presenting your car and yourself professionally, creating the proper atmosphere in the car during the trip, and ending the trip with courtesy and professionalism are vital to your success as a DSP. Customers will rate your performance on these aspects.

2. Driving experience and skill
Knowing how to assist the customer into and out of the car, observing speed limits, and driving to traffic conditions.

3. Insurance
Do you have the appropriate commercial insurance cover for your vehicle?

4. GST registration
Are you properly registered for GST and do you understand your responsibility to report to the ATO?

5. Vehicle registration and standards
Is your vehicle properly maintained, correctly registered, appropriately cleaned (inside and out), and professionally presented to the customer? Do you know how and when to display the current Uza Direct signage on your vehicle?

6. Booking procedure training
Uza Direct takes customer bookings from a number of booking sources. DSP’s are accredited in two categories: Group A and Group B
• Group A – High volume DSP. Group A meet the volume criteria to use the Giraffe EFTPOS terminal and process in-car transactions. Group A DSP’s receive bookings made with all media booking options provided by Uza Direct.
• Group B – Life Style DSP. Group B DSP's receive bookings made with Uza Direct via the Uza Direct app or website.

7. Uza Direct bank details and payment procedures
As a DSP you need to provide Uza Direct with your bank account details. Uza Direct will remit the customer fare (minus Uza Direct’s royalty and associated fees) to your account weekly. The payment procedures are explained in Uza Direct’s Terms and Conditions, DSP Agreement, and Uza Direct Rules (copies of which will be provided to you during the accreditation process).

Documents that can be downloaded from Uza Direct’s website when a DSP accreditation log-on has been provided:

  1. DSP Agreement
  2. Uza Direct Terms and Conditions
  3. Uza Direct Rules
  4. Uza Direct DSP – Bank Account Details

Uza Direct DSP Options

Uza Direct offers three DSP operating models. Each operating model has different accreditation requirements.

This pyramid outlines the pricing, royalty and other options associated with each operating model.
DSP's can discuss these operating models with Uza Direct management during the accreditation process.

Within each model there exists two groups (A&B). During the accreditation process, Uza Direct staff will explain the choices each DSP can make (which give rise to the A & B designation).
